A Brief History of Kreta
Ayer Stamp Society

Kreta Ayer Stamp
Society(KASS) was
founded in 1979
to cater for the large
number of collectors in
Asia
and it is a
non-profit,
volunteer-run
association of
collectors to promote
the study of the
philatelic output during
the
Straits Settlements era,
Japanese Occupation
administered areas in
particular concentration
in Asia and relevant
classical material.
KASS has a
membership drawn from
across Asia and Europe
and has grown steadily
to be one of the top
Philatelic Society in
Singapore.
With a very
stable membership of 550
in 2007, and met at
least nine times
annually.
All members will
have access to over 200
reference philatelic
journal and catalogue
books and have the
opportunity to
participate in local and
overseas exhibition
based on the Society MOU
with various reputable
philatelic society
across Asia &
Europe.
OBJECTIVE
OF THE SOCIETY

To nurture
new ardent stamp
collectors to come
forward and grow
with society to its
zenith

To provide
a place for local
and foreign
collectors to meet,
swap and socialize.

It strives
to promote the fun
and fascination of
worldwide stamp
collecting to young
and old alike, and
has an active
outreach program
serving youth, their
leaders and
beginners of all
ages.
