Kreta Ayer Stamp Society (KASS) was founded in 1979 to cater for the large number of collectors in Asia and  it is a non-profit, volunteer-run association of collectors to promote the study of the philatelic output during the Straits Settlements era, Japanese Occupation administered areas in particular concentration in Asia and relevant classical material.

KASS 30th Anniversary celebrations was held on 20/06/2009 with much ado and eye opener to its ardent stamp collectors, about its ordeal for survival through rough seas and being calm ashore.
Two books were written in conjunction with the 30th anniversary celebrations, by its 2 vice Presidents.
1.) Ms Tai Foong Choo – Thematic Stamp Series
2.) Mdm Camalapan Naraini@Rani – Our Heritage

Both Books were launched and are put & sale.
